Coffee price – where is it headed?

We all notice it every day – the prices, whether in the supermarket, for energy or other purchases – strong increases are noticeable.

So let's take coffee, which has risen dramatically in recent months.

We would like to explain the reasons to you in a comprehensible manner.

The price of raw coffee increased last year by remarkable 140 % increased. Our purchasing power is therefore currently three times higher than before.

No roastery that roasts organically and by hand can compensate for such an exorbitant and significant increase.

Due to the drastic development, some green coffees are no longer available.

The reason is speculation by large investment funds that have “bought up” large European traders.

In addition, the “supply chain law” that the EU has focused on is already in effect.

All in all, not a good development and unfortunately no prospect of things getting better at the moment.

However, we would like to assure you that we will get through this valley and continue to assure you that this development will not compromise quality.
