The green coffee
If you look at the market situation of the BIG PLAYERS in the green coffee market, it immediately becomes clear that the green coffee price listed on the stock exchange has little to do with natural factors, but is purely an object of speculation.
Large coffee roasters divide Europe among themselves
The US company Mondelez generates 18 percent of its sales in Germany. The Dutch company Master Blenders generates just six percent. Together, the two companies represent considerable power in the European coffee market. Source: Infographic Die Welt
The international coffee giants Mondelez and Master Blenders are merging and will dominate the market in 16 countries. This poses a huge problem for the German number one.
At the moment the stock market only knows one direction: UP
This is precisely why there has been a massive price increase recently.
Unfortunately, we cannot counteract this – even direct imports (direct trade) are subject to stock exchange quotations.
Our monthly coffee “Columbia Connection”
Wbeimar Lasso has devoted his entire attention and love to coffee for over 40 years. His father already owned a coffee farm in Narino, where he learned the craft from the ground up as a teenager. He himself began picking coffee on his own farm in Narino to pay for his own school uniform! When "specialty coffee" gained a foothold in Colombia, the local community organized a Q Grader Tasting Competition. He is the proud winner of the first Catador Competition in Colombia!
From cultivation to soil sampling to monitoring at the Beneficio, Wbeimar Lasso oversees the entire processing process. He teaches and educates over 400 local farmers who are members of the TERRACOFFEE association.
He also roasts his own coffee and has launched his own line at the local market in Paitalito Huila. So, he's a picker, producer, teacher, Q grader, roaster, great cook, and sensory master! Respect!
His wife also works in the business and supports him in projects related to sustainability and quality management. All specialty coffees we import from Colombia pass through his hands. We are very proud of our great partnership.
We at CultCaffè roast this wonderful coffee for 22 minutes with a slightly darker note, bringing out the wonderful chocolate and nougat aromas perfectly.
Cult Caffè proudly present: THE Weather Forecast for this winter season
Mr. Mag Zenkel Christian, a meteorologist and a cafe owner in Tyrol for 10 years, entertained us in his tried and tested, witty manner with almost 100% Possibility a forecast for this winter season.
Here is his text:
Special Forecast Winter 2024/2025
Our new model has been in development for over 20 years and is finally complete. Using a highly complex mix of completely new data sets, we can now deliver precise weather forecasts for months. Admittedly, we have to keep most of the data confidential, but we can reveal this much: We analyzed the dive-flying behavior of the Carnica bee in August, the average leaf size of the sycamore maple, the flow velocity of the Ybbs River near Neumarkt, the proportion of the Green Party in parliament, the average IQ of climate change activists as of October 10, 2024, and much more...
😊 😊 😊
We are now pleased to publish the winter forecast exclusively for our friends in Lower Austria!
December begins with widespread sunshine and very mild weather. However, this premature Christmas thaw only lasts until the middle of the month, when winter's first real greeting arrives. Even in Lower Austria, it stays white until the end of the year. This is very important, because nothing makes us Austrians more depressed than a green Christmas.
After New Year's Eve, which will be a clear night for the first time since records began, a stormy and mild westerly weather pattern will set in. The snow will melt all the way up to the low mountain ranges. Only towards the end of January will the general weather pattern change dramatically again.
A powerful cold high over Siberia is transporting icy air masses far into Central Europe. Especially in eastern Austria, temperatures are sometimes dropping to -30 degrees Celsius. Older people might remember how beautiful winters used to be.
But then, in February, a series of toxic Mediterranean lows follows, bringing incredible amounts of snow across Austria. This glide of very humid, maritime air masses onto the cold low in the Alpine region then continues, with a few interruptions, until spring. To the great distress of all road services, drivers, climate apostles, etc.And we agree with Karl Valentin:
We are happy, even if it is a green Christmas,
because if we are not happy, it will stay green 😊 Until now, Gerda Rodgers and Charly Sheen were considered to be the world's best weather forecasters of all time!
If our forecast does not come true exactly as it should, you are welcome to express your complaints here: https://www.facebook.com/wettercafe.at/ 😊 😊 😊
Dear Christian, thank you for your forecast.
