NATURAL cleaning is the new cleaning range that aims to offer you products that are as “non-toxic” as possible.
There are good reasons for this: What if the products end up in children's hands? What if the user is distracted and the cleaners aren't properly removed or rinsed? Could some of the cleaners end up in the espresso or cappuccino? What happens to all the cleaners in the wastewater and the environment? And so, we believe that, to avoid all of these things, small compromises in effectiveness are acceptable. The goal is not to produce less toxic products, but rather products that aren't harmful in the first place.
NEW: Natural Cleaning grinder cleaner for espresso grinders (not suitable for fully automatic machines!)
The Natural-Grind grinder cleaner we developed and produced is a premium, completely natural product. This means we use a blend of different grains and natural products to quickly and easily clean the dead space in your coffee grinder.
What's so special about Natural Grind? Why can't I just clean my grinder the old-fashioned way with rice? Well, that worked under the conditions a coffee grinder from "back then" had. Today's espresso grinders simply get stuck or stop working if they stop halfway through, which would require a tedious unscrewing process.
The trick is to create a grinder cleaner that doesn't cause the grinder to jam, but cleans the dead space as comprehensively and thoroughly as possible and, above all, doesn't change the grinding setting, which would otherwise require readjusting the grinder.
How do I clean my coffee grinder?
1. Empty the bean container, drain the remaining coffee beans and pre-clean as much as possible with a grinder brush.
2. Before cleaning the grinder, set it to a “medium grind” to prevent the grinding setting from shifting.
3. After about 40g of CleanGrind has run through, you can add more coffee beans.
Please dispose of the first coffee grounds with the remains of the cleaner.
During the first few grinding processes, particles of the cleaner may still appear, which will not affect the taste of your espresso, but the removed oily and possibly rancid coffee fats will now guarantee a deliciously fresh cappuccino or espresso.
How often should I clean my coffee grinder?
It's difficult to give an exact number of times you should clean your coffee grinder, as it depends on how much coffee you grind. Our recommendation is: once a week at home; daily in the restaurant industry.
Attention with Eureka mills:
These grinders have a very fine grind adjustment, which means that you can turn the grind adjustment from fine/espresso to coarse/filter coffee not just once, but several times by 360°.
That's why you won't achieve a medium grind if you only turn the dial 90° from fine/espresso to coarse! It's better to turn the dial further to ensure you achieve a medium to coarse grind, otherwise the grinder will easily clog.
