Fairness, fair prices and respect are the foundations of our partnerships with farmers and experienced green coffee traders.
We know that top quality comes at a price, and we pay above market prices for it. In this way, we contribute to the development of our partners, who should earn a good living from their work.
This does not require large organizations with excessive bureaucracy and administration. With projects like Feminina from Peru and Orang Utan (Orangutan Coffee Project) from Indonesia we take this philosophy into account.
Our visits to coffee plantations and numerous conversations with farms, fellow roasters, and green coffee traders confirm that it is possible to operate transparently and traceably without a certification seal. For this reason, we have decided to terminate our contract with the Fairtrade organization after six years.
There is no need for huge, bloated, cost-intensive and profit-oriented management organizations like Fairtrade that do mass balancing in the system.
We remain committed to organic certification and have two wonderful organic blends in our range.

Our dear colleague Manfred Sandler, a member of the Cult Caffè team since 2015, has now entered his well-deserved retirement with mixed feelings.
